Position Purpose: The Director, National Sales & Business Development – Braveheart is responsible for driving national growth, brand positioning, and strategic customer partnerships for the Braveheart premium beef portfolio. This role focuses on expanding Braveheart's presence across high-profile independent restaurants, iconic steakhouses, national and regional restaurant chains, and select specialty and regional retailers. The Director will lead sales strategy, business development, and customer-specific product innovation while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure flawless execution and sustained brand differentiation. Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a robust national pipeline of viable sales and business development opportunities aligned with Braveheart’s strategic channels, including high-profile independents, iconic steakhouses, national and regional chains, and specialty/regional retailers.
  • Drive national and regional sales strategies by identifying the right customer segments, conducting competitive and landscape assessments, and recommending go-to-market approaches that differentiate Braveheart from competitive offerings.
  • Lead business development efforts to secure brand exposure, menu placement, and long-term partnerships with customers on growth trajectories.
  • Partner closely with PFS corporate procurement, beef packers, and PFS meat plants to support product development, innovation, and execution of customer-specific solutions.
  • Maintain a rigorous focus on research and development, ensuring Braveheart delivers premium, customer driven products including upper choice, USDA Prime, dry-aged programs, custom grinds, and portion controlled or further-processed solutions.
  • Build and sustain strong internal stakeholder relationships across PFG to ensure alignment, internal advocacy, and the ability to execute against customer commitments and expectations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador for Braveheart, articulating product quality, differentiation, and value to both internal and external partners.
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitive dynamics to continuously refine strategy and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Work Experience: • 10+ Years - Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the meat industry, with a strong emphasis on premium-quality beef products (e.g., upper choice, USDA Prime, dry-aged programs, custom grinds, portion control, and further-processed offerings). Required Qualifications: • Proven track record of sales and business development success across multiple customer types, including independent operators, regional chains, and national accounts. • Deep understanding of premium beef programs, product development, and customer-specific solutions within foodservice and/or specialty retail channels. • Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships, influence cross-functional partners, and drive execution in a complex, matrixed organization. • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable growth strategies.
