What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting directly to an Philippine-based manager as part of the Merchandise & Operations team, you will support the core goal of inventory accuracy and supply chain efficiency.Key responsibilities include:- Administer end-to-end merchandise data, including SKU creation, barcoding, pricing, and Purchase Order (PO) management.
- Coordinate timely stock replenishments and inter-store transfers while nurturing positive relationships with global suppliers.
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through regular stocktakes, variance reporting, and data adjustments.
- Analyze sales performance by preparing sales reports, WIP (Work in Progress) listings, and forecasting spreadsheets in Excel.
- Optimize digital presence by managing listings on third-party marketplaces like Amazon and eBay.
- Facilitate clear communication across teams regarding stock movements and store requests.
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience specifically in merchandising and inventory planning within a retail or e-commerce business.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with Shopify and various Retail Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Excel Mastery: Advanced skills in MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and inventory tracking.
- Logical Thinking: Proven logical thinking and strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt quickly and remain flexible with evolving workflows and tasks.
- Independence: A proactive problem-solver who thrives in an autonomous, remote environment.
- Precision: High attention to detail and accuracy when managing complex data in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in the sustainable fashion or boutique home goods industry.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory forecasting models and tools.
- Familiarity with cross-border logistics between Australia and international suppliers.
