The Informatics Solutions Architect (ISA) team plays a pivotal role in advancing laboratory digitalization. By bridging customer needs, sales strategy, and technical implementation, ISAs ensure that our Atellica Informatics portfolio (ADM, APM, AIN, ACM), Lab Automation systems, and diagnostics analyzers deliver measurable customer outcomes. This position supports the late stages of the sales process and the early stages of diagnostics solutions implementation across North America. The Solution Architect will act as a trusted technical intermediary between sales, customers, consultants, and implementation teams. The primary responsibility is to design and validate Informatics solutions and provide complete, accurate technical documentation and readiness information to the Implementation team Job Description: Sales Enablement & Solution Design Provide advanced technical expertise across the sales process, from discovery to late stages of the sales cycles. Architect and validate Informatics solutions integrating Atellica Informatics portfolio (ADM, APM, AIN, ACM), diagnostics analyzers, and TLA systems. Evaluate customer IT environments and LIS/HIS integration requirements to confirm feasibility and architectural alignment. Develop architecture diagrams, network topologies, data fl ow mappings, and integration specifications in collaboration with Informatics Consultants (ICs). Collaborate closely with Informatics Consultants (ICs) to ensure designs align with the best operational practices, workflow optimization, and digital maturity goals. IT Readiness & Solution Documentation Review and document customer IT infrastructure, security, network design, and server/database requirements for solution design purposes. Collaborate with the Siemens Healthineers global Cybersecurity team to ensure compliance of the proposed Informatics solutions with enterprise security policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices. In partnership with Healthcare IT Sales (HITS) and Informatics Consultants, prepare and deliver Digital Handover Documents (DHDs), Bill of Materials, and technical specifications to ensure commercial and technical alignment, enabling a seamless transition to Project Management and Implementation teams while supporting clarity of requirements and collaborating on Statements of Work (SOWs) as needed. Validate interoperability requirements with hospital IT systems and confirm adherence to Siemens cybersecurity policies, without executing or managing implementation activities. Advisory Support During Implementation Provide expert technical oversight during early implementation to ensure alignment with the approved architecture. Participate in technical risk assessments, pre-/post-implementation reviews, and project readiness checkpoints. Support resolution of integration challenges by advising PM, Service, and Customer IT teams on design intent. Customer Engagement & Value Realization Serve as a trusted technical advisor to IT stakeholders, Lab Directors, and clinical decision makers, translating solution designs into measurable business outcomes such as efficiency, standardization, and cost reduction. Collaborate with Informatics Consultants to confirm proposed solutions are technically sound, aligned with operational best practices, and integrated into the broader laboratory digitalization strategy. Support Healthcare Informatics Sales (HITS) in outcome-driven selling by ensuring architecture and security claims are technically accurate and complement commercial strategies and customer value propositions.
