Our partner: Our partner is an established publishing business with headquarters in the US with a diverse catalogue spanning children’s books, classic literature, and interactive titles such as puzzles and colouring books. With a growing international footprint, they are focused on expanding global distribution and unlocking new commercial opportunities across multiple markets, offering a collaborative yet entrepreneurial environment for sales professionals. Responsibilities:- Lead international business development activity, driving global sales growth across multiple territories.
- Identify and secure new opportunities with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners worldwide.
- Develop new revenue streams across trade, special markets, and non-traditional retail channels.
- Build and execute a global sales strategy, prioritising key markets and emerging territories.
- Manage key accounts, negotiate commercial terms, and maximise performance across regions.
- Proven experience in publishing sales, book distribution, or international book markets (outside of the US)
- Strong track record of winning new business and developing new revenue streams.
- In-depth knowledge of co-printing, custom publishing, and high-volume print programmes.
- Experience working with international distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners.
- Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, negotiation, and sales strategy.
- Knowledge of the US publishing and retail landscape..
- Understanding of global supply chains and print economics.
- Salary: Starting from £55k+ depending on experience, plus performance-related incentives.
- Initial set up on contract/freelance basis with a view to move to a permanent position.
- Working pattern: Flexible, remote working with international travel.
- Reports to: Managing Director in the US.
