Job Summary
Executive Advisor HR Transformation serves as a senior strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer, advancing enterprise-wide modernization of HR across a complex academic health system and academic enterprise spanning UCSF Campus and UCSF Health. While the CHRO leads overall HR transformation strategy, this role drives execution and acceleration of modernization efforts. The Executive Advisor ensures the future-state HR operating model is embedded through aligned systems, digital enablement, capability building, and operational redesign while supporting leaders across the organization in effectively adopting modern HR practices and talent approaches. that elevate HR’s strategic impact. This role focuses on modernization, innovation, and capability elevation — moving HR from a transactional support function to a highly strategic, data-driven, digitally enabled enterprise partner. Role’s ultimate purpose is to: ● Accelerate HR modernization ● Elevate HR capability and operating discipline ● Enable digital transformation and AI adoption ● Strengthen HR’s strategic value to the enterprise ● Ensure the future-state HR model is fully embedded and sustainable Serves as key strategist to the CHRO in shaping and advancing enterprise HR priorities, developing long- and short-range plans, and driving innovative initiatives that strengthen HR’s strategic impact across the organization. High level authority to make official commitments and to broadly represent the Executive's interests across the organization. Uses advanced concepts and organizational objectives to resolve high impact issues. Regularly works on complex issues or problems which require analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. Human ResourcesRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- 5 – 7 years applicable experience; or equivalent combination of training, experience, and demonstrated success in strategic HR transformation & modernization.
- Senior experience leading large-scale HR transformation, modernization, and end-to-end talent initiatives in complex organizations
- Deep understanding of HR operating models and enterprise capability building
- Strong digital orientation, including experience with automation, AI enablement, and workflow redesign
- Demonstrated success elevating HR functional maturity and strategic alignment
- Highly analytical and outcomes-focused
- Executive presence with the ability to influence across a complex health system and academic enterprise
- Advanced knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.
- Advanced skills in short- and long-range planning, program and project management, facilitation and collaboration.
- Sound strategic thinking and consulting skills in guiding the organization toward workable strategies and solutions.
