Job Objective

JiBe is a cloud based fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry. Our goal is to allow shipping companies to improve productivity, efficiency and safety levels, while reducing costs. JiBe ERP enables increased automation and streamlining of processes, creating pre-defined workflows and reducing the usage of email and paper.

JiBe is looking for a top-notch engineer to join our team. You will have an opportunity to directly impact our growing team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Become the manager for a group of 3-5 teams addressing their personal and professional needs as well as participate in analysis, architecture and design efforts related to the solution alongside architects.
  • Recruit and build self-organizing agile teams as well as implement career development and personal growth plans and enhance the team members technical proficiency level and soft skills.
  • Drive improvements to the groups development methodologies and processes while also contributing to the improvement of the entire organization.
  • Manage and drive execution and the day-to-day activities of the group. Assume complete ownership over the groups products, their quality as well as the production environment and operational requirements.

Qualifications

  • A person who encompasses technical skills alongside business and customer understanding, an open mind and creativity alongside the ability to conduct research and development.
  • A minimum of 10 years of software development experience as a software engineer and an engineering manager.
  • A minimum of 6 years developing with Node.js, C# or Java.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with large scale and high-performance distributed systems.
  • Indirectly managed at least 3 engineering teams (managed team managers) with a minimum of 20 group members for a minimal consecutive period of 4 years.
  • Substantial experience and ability for prioritizing, planning, driving and managing execution plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, independent, mature, self-driven and works well with minimal supervision as part of a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
  • Experience collaborating with international managers and colleagues.
