Product Manager, Cybersecurity

Company Overview: The Product Manager, Cyber Security is a strategic, detail‑oriented professional responsible for driving the development and delivery of innovative cybersecurity solutions. This role plays a critical part in supporting a proactive team focused on customer satisfaction, business growth, and competitive differentiation. In addition to contributing to key performance indicators related to product adoption, customer outcomes, and revenue, the Product Manager also serves as a knowledgeable internal and external Subject Matter Expert (SME). With a strong focus on managing product design, development, and release processes, the Product Manager helps shape and execute the cybersecurity product roadmap while enhancing a market‑leading portfolio designed to deliver outstanding cyber‑physical security, improved productivity, and superior performance. Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

  • Manage a portfolio of cybersecurity products, services, and solutions to drive customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and market expansion.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance portfolio value through product improvements, partner integrations, and innovation—and champion these initiatives across the organization.
  • Prioritize product development efforts to deliver differentiated offerings that meet business KPIs and market needs; provide recommendations for engineering priorities and timelines.
  • Evaluate unmet customer needs and execute viable, competitive solution enhancements.
  • Implement methodologies to continually gather and analyze “voice of customer” insights and market trends, influencing pricing, bundling, and product design decisions.
  • Coordinate intake, analysis, and prioritization of new product functionality requests from customers and prospects.
  • Develop clear use cases, business requirements, and marketing requirements.
  • Maintain the cybersecurity product roadmap, including integration of partner technologies and internal assets.
  • Collaborate with technology providers and channel partners to align and differentiate the product portfolio.
  • Support product launches in coordination with product marketing and corporate marketing; ensure ongoing post‑launch success through continuous optimization and adoption strategies.
  • Conduct product performance benchmarking to guide enhancements and differentiation.
  • Represent the organization as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, helping increase market credibility.

Thought Leadership and SME Support

  • Develop and deliver thought leadership content, industry insights, and market perspectives.
  • Create impactful communications for analysts, security organizations, and partner communities.
  • Collaborate with other product managers on cross‑solution messaging and strategic thought leadership.
  • Support organizational wins by providing technical and product expertise to cross‑functional teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Execution

  • Develop high-quality product documentation and assets throughout the product lifecycle, including FAQs, training content, service briefs, demos, diagrams, and specification sheets.
  • Partner with Product Operations to ensure seamless implementation of cybersecurity offerings across the quote‑to‑cash process.
  • Enable sales teams by supporting customer engagements, addressing technical questions, and delivering product training.
  • Expand organizational knowledge of the cybersecurity market through internal presentations and market briefings.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Communications to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, customer‑ready messaging.
  • Share “voice of customer” insights regularly with stakeholders to inform product improvements.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations related to pricing, strategy, positioning, competitive intelligence, and product differentiation.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field — Required
  • Master’s Degree (MBA, Engineering, Information Systems) — Preferred

Work Experience

  • 7–9 years of product management experience in the U.S. cybersecurity or security technology market — Required
  • 7–9 years of experience developing technology products/solutions for mid‑market and enterprise customers — Required
  • 7–9 years of experience defining product strategy and roadmaps — Required
  • 7–9 years of knowledge in Product Marketing practices and frameworks — Required
  • 4–6 years of experience with cybersecurity processes, frameworks, and regulations (FDA/MDR/HIPAA/PCI, etc.) — Required
  • 7–9 years of collaboration within cross‑functional, matrixed teams — Required
  • 4–6 years of experience with cybersecurity standards (NIST, CSA, ISO 27001) and related certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISA preferred) — Required
  • 4–6 years of knowledge of security protocols (IPSEC, TLS, DTLS, key exchange, cipher mechanisms) — Required
  • 7–9 years executing product security processes, standards, best practices, and tools — Required
  • 4–6 years of demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning in cybersecurity — Required
  • 7–9 years of experience defining and measuring outcome‑based product KPIs — Required
  • 7–9 years of exceptional presentation and communication skills — Required
  • 7–9 years assessing options (risk, performance, cost‑benefit) with strong visualization skills — Required
  • Ability to read and understand technical reports — Required
  • Highly organized and resourceful — Required

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated above. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
