[Remote] Externship Coordinator

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ultimate Medical Academy is a non-profit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. They are seeking an Externship Coordinator responsible for partnering with external employers to facilitate externship placement opportunities for students and graduates.

Responsibilities

• Place Students in Externships: Assist in driving student transition from classwork to externship opportunities
• Provide Guidance on Externship Placement: Help identify and overcome student and affiliate obstacles to foster long-term externship success
• Build Employer and Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain effective relationships with corporations, non-profits, government organizations, and community partners to promote externship opportunities for students and graduates
• Support Team Reporting: Update department leadership for meetings and support stakeholder use of relevant reporting and data
• Collaborate with career advisors to support students' career goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance
• Knowledge of current interview techniques and industry standards
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in career services or a related field is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams
