What You\'ll DoWant to apply Read all the information about this position below, then hit the apply button.We’re looking for a Managing Director to join our Capital Raising team in Principal Real Estate. In this role, your core focus will be to drive institutional asset raising activities for the firm’s real estate platform with investors in the Eastern US and Canada.
- Develop deep and strategic relationships with Limited Partners and investment consultants in the Eastern US and Canada
- Drive new real estate capital efforts for fund launches
- Provide clients, prospects, and consultants with ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process and performance of real estate funds and platforms and act as primary contact when appropriate
- Participate in investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers
- Provide investor and market insights to the product development process, both new and existing

- Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
- 10+ years related experience in real estate investment management, including 5+ years of real estate fundraising experience (10+ preferred)
- Established relationships with a spectrum of institutional investors and consultants
- Proven sales experience and pipeline development, preferably in the Eastern US and Canada.
- Must have the ability to travel, approximating 50% of the time
- Diligent, organized, strategic problem solver
- Experience working in collaboration with a team to raise capital
- Results oriented
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships
- High level of integrity
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and energy
- Strategic and tactical as well as attention to ongoing details
- Series 7 & 63, Life Insurance certification required within 90 days of employment
