Appellate Associate Attorney
Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer is a well-established and respected law firm located in New York City, seeking a talented Appellate Associate Attorney to join their growing Appellate Practice Group. The role involves drafting and arguing appellate briefs, providing legal analysis, and collaborating with litigation teams on complex legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft and argue appellate briefs and dispositive motions across a range of practice areas, including labor law, premises liability, motor vehicle, trucking, and general liability
- Support the firm’s litigation teams by providing legal analysis and strategic input on complex matters
- Collaborate closely with experienced appellate practitioners and litigators
Skills
- Draft and argue appellate briefs and dispositive motions across a range of practice areas, including labor law, premises liability, motor vehicle, trucking, and general liability
- Support the firm's litigation teams by providing legal analysis and strategic input on complex matters
- Collaborate closely with experienced appellate practitioners and litigators
- Admission to the New York Bar
- Judicial clerkship experience and/or a strong legal writing background
- Prior experience in the areas of labor law, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, trucking, or general liability
- New Jersey admission is a plus
