Property Adjuster - Inside - Chicago, IL

Allstate is a company dedicated to protecting families and their belongings from life's uncertainties. They are seeking a Moderate Inside Property Adjuster who will provide exceptional service by virtually inspecting damages, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and accurately while communicating with customers and vendors through various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to our policyholders
• Virtually inspect damages, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and accurately
• Interact with customers, contractors, and vendors through various software platforms such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration
• Use phone, emails and sometimes even video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process
• Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants, in accordance with all legal and business standard methodologies
• Utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids, and additional settlement platforms
• Keep a clear record of your work in a claims system that you will be trained on

Skills

• 1+ years of previous customer service experience required
• Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders remotely
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient claim resolutions
• Residency within the posted location is mandatory for this role
• Previous industry experience is highly desired
• Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments
