This role offers both full‑time and part‑time opportunities, allowing you to tailor your schedule to your personal and professional needs while enjoying competitive compensation and a robust benefits package.Key Job Details• Location: Remote (home‑based visits within the Mechanicsville, VA service area)• Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $57,000 to $79,000 annually, plus attractive visit rates for 20+ weekly visits and performance incentives.• Start Date: Immediate openings – start as soon as you are ready!• Position Type: Skilled Visit Nurse RN – Pediatric Home Health (full‑time or part‑time)• Employer: Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care, headquartered in Mechanicsville, VACore Responsibilities – What Your Day Might Look LikeAs a Skilled Visit Nurse at Thrive SPC, you will be the primary clinical liaison for children ranging from newborns to adolescents. Your responsibilities will blend direct patient care, family education, and collaborative coordination with multidisciplinary team members.• Conduct comprehensive home health assessments for pediatric patients, tailoring care plans to each child’s medical, developmental, and psychosocial needs.• Administer and monitor complex treatments, including but not limited to:• Nasogastric (NG) and gastrostomy tube (G‑tube) feedings• Ostomy care and management• Medication administration, including IV therapy and specialized pediatric dosing• Respiratory support (e.g., nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy)• Provide hands‑on education and coaching to parents and caregivers on:• Feeding techniques and nutrition management• Wound care and ostomy maintenance• Medication administration and safety• Recognizing signs of clinical deterioration and emergency protocols• Document clinical encounters using the company‑issued iPad and Kantime electronic charting system, ensuring accurate, timely, and HIPAA‑compliant records.• Collaborate with physicians, therapist teams, social workers, and case managers to coordinate interdisciplinary care plans and optimize patient outcomes.• Maintain a caseload of 4–6 patients per day, balancing travel time, documentation, and consultation duties while prioritizing patient safety and quality of care.• Participate in regular clinical supervision, peer review, and quality improvement initiatives to continuously elevate the standard of care delivered.• Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including maintaining an active, unencumbered RN license in the state(s) of practice.Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (or other states where you will be providing care).• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical nursing practice, preferably in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), or pediatric hospital setting.• Passion for Pediatrics: Demonstrated enthusiasm for providing specialized care to children and families, with a strong desire to work in a home‑health setting.• Technical Skills: Proficiency with NG/G‑tube feeding management, ostomy care, and pediatric medication administration.• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in a clear, compassionate manner.• Reliability: Strong organizational abilities and dependable attendance record, essential for meeting scheduled visit commitments.• Technology Savvy: Comfortable using digital devices for charting (iPad, Kantime) and participating in virtual training sessions.Preferred Qualifications – What Will Set You Apart• Certification in Pediatric Nursing (CPN) or Neonatal Nursing (CRNI).• Experience working in home health or community health nursing environments.• Additional traini Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
