Autonomy Engineer, Remote Assist - Labs
DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We explore robotics and automation to transform last mile logistics in the long term. In this role, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders including Product, Engineering (software and hardware), and Operations to develop systems expanding the capabilities of our robot leveraging remote operators. - Develop new capabilities expanding our suite of remote assistance tools
- Work directly with users to brainstorm ways to increase operator efficiency
- Implement strategies to improve connectivity between robots and operators
- Evaluate new hardware including modems, antennas, and cameras

- Experience in at least one of the following: computer networks, cellular networks, low latency video streaming, computer vision, game development, backend microservices
- In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, linux networking stack, communication protocols, video codecs
- Strong C++ experience
