Senior Mobile Software Engineer (remote; Rust, Swift, blockchain)

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Software Engineer who is driven to work hand in hand with novel AI agentic systems and help bring to life new features and designs for our mobile wallets. The tech stack that you will interact with will be Swift, Rust, Rust FFI, Kotlin, and Objective C, mostly in that order. You will be working with engineers and developers on the mobile team within our org, Dash Core Group. This is an opportunity to work remotely in a team that uses modern coding practices and redefines boundaries of what a crypto wallet can do without a centralized backend.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team in an Agile environment to research, define, design, implement, and ship improvements and new features.

Improve and take ownership of parts of our mobile SDKs. This will involve improvements to the foundational Rust SDK.

• Work hand in hand with AI agentic coding solutions such as OpenAI codex and Anthropic Claude Code while verifying the veracity of AI generated code
• Improve our continuous integration.
• Implement UI/UX solutions into the front end of our mobile apps.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently.
• At LEAST 2 of the following 3:

- Senior or higher understanding of the Rust programming language. - Senior or higher understanding of Swift. - Senior or higher understanding of UTXO based blockchains (Bitcoin - Dash).

• Understanding of how cryptography is being used in the blockchain.
• Basic knowledge or better of how a blockchain works. Preference for candidates with a strong passion for blockchain technologies.
• 2 or more years programming experience that is not front-end.
• 3 years of studies in Computer Science, Engineering or related subjects at the university level.
• Strong Linux/Mac skills.
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Ability to work remotely and be self-motivated.
• Proficient understanding of Git.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Proficiency in the English language. You must be able to communicate with the team, both orally and in written form.

Nice to Have

• Low level Rust FFI experience.
• Previous usage of Claude Code/Codex and good prompting skills.
• Mathematical background (e.g. good understanding of number theory, probability, linear and abstract algebra)
• Secondary expertise in C++, Kotlin, or Java.
• Understanding of SPV in blockchain technology.
• Strong understanding of cryptography – or willing to devote time to learning.
