The School of Nursing at California State University, Fullerton, has two tenure-track positions with appointments to begin in August 2024. The positions are:
- Nurse Midwifery -Women's Health Program (Open Rank)
- Faculty member with content expertise relevant to advanced practice, leadership, or population health in graduate and undergraduate education, as well as the ability to support the scholarly culminating work of students. (Assistant Professor only)
- An unencumbered California RN license before employment
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related field and a B.S.N. or M.S.N. If doctorate is in progress, must be awarded prior to start of academic term
- Record of accomplishments in research, teaching, and academic or professional service, appropriate for appointment at the rank of a tenure track assistant professor (less than five years teaching), associate professor (minimum five years teaching), or professor (minimum ten years teaching) in an accredited School or College of Nursing. The successful applicant will receive the appropriate rank and title based on our University and SON standards, including any prior service in a tenure-earning position
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and learning (classroom, virtual, simulation, lab), and consistent with the nursing program's vision, mission and goals demonstrated during on campus interview and presentation; eligibility for BRN approval is required if necessary for the area of content expertise
- The ability to work collegially with diverse faculty, staff, and students
- Commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including first-generation college students
- Clinical specialization and experience in an area of registered nursing or advanced practice nursing, e.g., in psych/mental health, medical surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics/women's health, family practice, population/public health, leadership and/or informatics
- In addition, supplementary required qualifications are:
- For the position in the Nurse Midwifery-Women's Health Program, national certification as a Nurse Midwife is required, with a preference for national certification as both a Nurse Midwife and a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
