[Remote] UI / Visual Product Designer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Creative Circle is a recruitment agency seeking a remote UI/ Visual Product Designer for a financial services client. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create compelling user experiences in financial planning, focusing on design from ideation to implementation.

Responsibilities

• Create new solutions that align to the organization's vision and the needs of users using problem-framing approaches within a product model and agile-like processes
• Use prototyping and visual design skills to craft compelling mobile and web experiences used by our prospects and clients
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure the experiences we ship are pixel-perfect across form factors
• Apply best practices to common design problems using human-centered design methods, leveraging and contributing to our design system
• Help gain buy-in around design decisions. Communicate decision-making rationale confidently to cross-functional team members and senior stakeholders in a clear way
• Utilize design facilitation skills to foster collaboration within cross-functional teams, and storytelling to build trust and establish long-term relationships
• Champion accessibility. Help us create a more accessible experience for all users, leveraging tool and best practices and advocating for accessibility in cross-functional teams

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Web Product Design, Web Development or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
• 5+ years of experience in a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in user experience, interaction design, product innovation in a product development team in financial services required
• Proven experience contributing to the development of multiple shipped digital products
• Ability to develop processes and approaches for tackling design problems, anticipating challenges, and uncovering quality solutions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain rationale for design decisions and clarify success metrics
• Demonstrated application of human-centered design with a keen understanding of business and technical impacts on digital design
• Self-directed and proactive, with a passion for driving progress and making meaningful contributions
• Able to turn research into action that solves the user definition of a problem
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration roles, with a focus on delivering business value
• Experience leveraging a design system and how to push the boundaries of the design system to achieve product and user goals
• Relevant agile experience
• Knowledge and experience working in diversified financial services
• Familiarity with accessibility standards for content
• Familiarity with current UX research, theories and methodologies (especially user-centered design processes), as well as understanding of how human factors impact ROI and the product development lifecycle
• Experience using prototypes to quickly communicate proposed interactions
