Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team on a remote basis, working a 3rd shift schedule from 11pm to 7am. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for performing approvals of consumer loans, making payment arrangements, and helping customers with any questions. You'll undertake an intermediary role between potential clients and our financial institution, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a seamless experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

* Make outbound and receive inbound calls to provide exceptional customer service and support

  • Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts, ensuring timely and accurate updates
  • Use basic business math to solve problems and provide accurate solutions
  • Speak clearly, concisely, and effectively; listen to, and understand information and ideas as presented verbally
  • Maintain a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism when speaking to customers
  • Follow written and/or verbal instructions, adhering to laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Process card payments accurately and efficiently
  • Perform the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems
  • Review applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan and provide recommendations
  • Follow up with customers to clarify important points and ensure a seamless experience
  • Finalize loan details and keep customers informed of rules and obligations
  • Remain up to speed regarding lending and other financial services, ensuring a high level of knowledge and expertise
  • Create and renew records, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
  • Identify customer needs, explore all options availability to customers, and provide personalized solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and change quickly with the needs of the company
  • Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously
  • Meet monthly individual goals as set by management, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction

Required Skills

* Excellent Customer Service skills, with a passion for delivering top-notch service

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations
  • Proficient with technology, especially computers, software applications, and phone systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions

Preferred Education and/or Experience

* Minimum of High school diploma/ GED, with a strong focus on customer service and communication

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and support

Technical Skills

* Proficient use of MS: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Proficient user of the Internet and cloud-based storage
  • Familiarity with software applications and phone systems, with a strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

* Must be able to sit for long periods of time, talking, listening constantly

  • Sitting for extended periods of time, with regular breaks to stretch and move around
  • Shift 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, with a fully remote work arrangement after the initial 1-week training period (training will be 8am-5pm M-F during the first week)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • A salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
