The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Space's Mission Solutions business area is seeking a talented and dedicated Systems Engineer-IT to become a member of an Agile team focused on IT Infrastructure (Systems Administration, Networking, & Hardware) in the Foxtrot Program Area. Be involved in cloud and Kubernetes system administration Build upon innersourced infrastructure-as-code and contribute to shared repositories across organizations Support internal research and development (IRAD) Design new capabilities Support system security accreditation and process optimization Demonstrate your great work ethic, communication skills, creativity and problem-solving skills to make a lasting difference. This is a level 4, mid career role where successful Applicants will: Typically possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience having received a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or additional experience/combined education in lieu of degree Selected candidate must have a TS/SCI with Poly security clearance prior to start. Basic Qualifications: - Current DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Sec+ CE) - Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Poly - 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps/DevSecOps engineering (infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation). - Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift). - Strong Linux experience - daily administration of Red Hat, Ubuntu, or similar distributions, Bash/Python scripting, package management, system hardening, and troubleshooting. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams - Strong documentation skills-producing design docs, test plans, operating instructions, and post-mortem reports. Desired Skills: - 5 + years of progressive DevSecOps or systems-engineer experience, especially in defense, aerospace, or mission-critical domains. - Experience with GitOps workflows (Argo CD, Flux) and service mesh security (Istio, Linkerd). - Hands-on with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and pipeline hardening. - Experience with Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk, ELK, or similar stacks - Experience implementing NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53 controls - Experience in software development (Java, Go, .NET) to better understand code-level security. - Experience in agile team leadership or customer interaction #LMSpaceDevOps #SpaceSecurity Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
