Job Summary
As a Customer Service/Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Providing fast, friendly, and personalized service to customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance with product selection and sales
- Developing a deep understanding of department and product knowledge to effectively recommend and sell products to customers
- Maintaining a clean, shoppable, and safe store environment, including in-stock condition of assigned areas
- Collaborating with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
- Working safely and following all safety policies and standards to ensure a safe working and shopping environment
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and qualify customers, providing personalized service and recommendations to meet their needs
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of department and product knowledge to effectively recommend and sell products to customers
- Maintain a clean, shoppable, and safe store environment, including in-stock condition of assigned areas
- Collaborate with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
- Work safely and follow all safety policies and standards to ensure a safe working and shopping environment
- Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales and customer engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including Pro Accounts and repeat customers
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling returns and exchanges
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions
Essential Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a retail or building materials environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
- Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly about new products and promotions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and issues effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending and reaching
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a sales floor environment, with a focus on customer service and sales
- Knowledge of building materials and home improvement products, including tools, hardware, and building supplies
- Experience working with Pro Accounts and repeat customers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in multiple languages
