Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Operator, your primary duties will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining utility accounts with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Verifying account eligibility and accessibility to ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Preparing, distributing, and completing work orders in a timely manner
  • Preparing files for mass customer communications, including billing statements and other notices
  • Scanning or retaining documents as required
  • Performing monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to maintain data integrity
  • Entering data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to inform business decisions
  • Assisting with other related duties as assigned by the team

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
  • Strong typing and accuracy skills, with the ability to meet or exceed 10-key testing standards
  • Good judgment, independent thinking, and personal initiative to work effectively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • An Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or a related field
  • Additional experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data entry issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers
