Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist (ETS) to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data in our database. You will work closely with our team to identify problems with database management policies and procedures and provide input into their revision. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the excellence of our academic community and to develop your skills and expertise in data entry and management.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist (ETS), you will be responsible for:

• Checking data from completed forms or other documents for accuracy and completeness and entering into database.
• Reviewing audit reports and resolving errors to ensure integrity of data.
• Identifying problems with database management policies and procedures and providing input into their revision.
• Providing direction or assistance to users of information regarding data requirements and status of paperwork.
• May train other data entry employees.
• May assist in distributing reports.
• Sorts and files paperwork.
• Performs related responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of data entry experience.
• The ability to keyboard or type 45 accurate words per minute.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

• Experience working in a research university or academic setting.
• Knowledge of database management systems and data entry software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
