Experienced Data Entry Specialist – Pharmacy Operations Support

Job Summary:
We're looking for a talented Data Entry Specialist to support our pharmacy operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for accurately processing patient data, resolving data entry exceptions, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately process patient data, including prescription information, patient registration, and demographic data, using arenaflex's prescription information access strategies and systems.
- Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter top-off orders for processing.
- Troubleshoot to attain missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve all data entry-associated exceptions and ensure accurate and timely processing of patient data.
- Handle correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
- Resolve 1/3 party rejects by reviewing, gathering facts, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Make phone calls to insurers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve 1/3 party rejects.
- Provide assistance to pharmacists, both those within the facility and those at other locations.
- Identify and communicate issues to senior-level team members as necessary.
- Obtain active technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active technician license or certification.
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic computer skills, including:
+ Starting and shutting down a laptop. + Using a mouse to click and navigate. + Starting and closing applications. + Transferring between programs. + Saving files. + Printing documents and/or accessing information online.
- Basic Google competencies, including:
+ Opening a browser. + Typing in URLs in the correct area. + Using a search engine. + Bookmarking a website. + Navigating using back/forward/stop buttons. + Filling out forms online.
- Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, touch typing, formatting files).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications:
* At least 365 days of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
- At least 18 months of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration via state as granted by the state board of pharmacy or nationally recognized certification corporation.
- Experience providing customer support to internal and external clients, including assembling pleasant standards for offerings, and assessment of customer pride.
- Intermediate to superior-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, touch typing, formatting files).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
