Job Description

Summary: The Pipeline Analyst, Drug Opportunities & RFP Support plays a dual role supporting Option Care Health's evaluation of new drug opportunities and the execution of pharmaceutical manufacturer RFPs. Reporting to the Manager of Drug Pipeline Opportunities, this position is responsible for pipeline research, financial and operational analysis, and end-to-end coordination of RFP responses. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytically strong, and comfortable working cross-functionally to translate complex information into timely, high-quality deliverables for both strategic decision-making and external partner needs. Drug Pipeline Research & Opportunity Assessment

  • Monitor pharmaceutical and biotechnology pipelines to identify emerging infusion-administered and specialty drug opportunities.
  • Maintain structured pipeline tracking tools, dashboards, and development timelines, including regulatory milestones and anticipated launch dates.
  • Support market sizing analyses, including patient population estimates, site-of-care considerations, and competitive landscape assessments.
  • Build and update financial models to estimate revenue, margin, and cost-to-serve impacts under various launch and growth scenarios.
  • Track changes in clinical, regulatory, pricing, and reimbursement assumptions as assets progress through development.

Operational & Strategic Evaluation

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Pharmacy, Nursing, Operations, Finance, Market Access, Trade & Contracting, IT, Legal, and Compliance) to assess operational feasibility and organizational readiness.
  • Assist in evaluating non-financial impacts such as staffing requirements, clinical training needs, drug handling complexity, technology integrations, and workflow changes.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and key assumptions for each drug opportunity and escalate insights to the Pipeline Manager.

RFP Management & Execution

  • Maintain a centralized repository of past RFP responses, standard language, data points, and supporting documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for RFPs related to pharmaceutical partnerships, drug launches, and infusion service capabilities.
  • Facilitate RFP inputs from internal departments by clearly defining requirements, timelines, and response expectations.
  • Compile, draft, and format RFP responses, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Option Care Health's capabilities and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate reviews and approvals with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and senior stakeholders prior to submission.
  • Manage RFP submissions, including final quality checks, formatting, and on-time delivery.
  • Track RFP outcomes and incorporate learnings into future responses and pipeline assessments.

Reporting, Governance & Process Improvement

  • Prepare clear, concise analyses and presentation materials for pipeline reviews, RFP discussions, and leadership updates.
  • Support pipeline prioritization efforts by comparing opportunities across financial, strategic, operational, and partnership dimensions.
  • Help refine pipeline and RFP processes, templates, and analytical frameworks.
  • Ensure accuracy, documentation, and version control of assumptions, analyses, and RFP materials.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in healthcare analytics, pharmaceutical/biotech, consulting, specialty pharmacy, infusion services, or RFP/proposal management.
  • Strong analytical skills, including Excel-based financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate inputs from diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting or managing RFPs in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or services environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical pipelines, drug launches, or infusion-based therapies.
  • Understanding of reimbursement dynamics (medical vs. pharmacy benefit, Medicare, commercial).
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Interest in career growth within pipeline strategy, business development, or portfolio management.

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below: Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Pay Range is $62,386.44-$103,999.91 Benefits:
