Prehospital Communication Specialist (EMT or Paramedic) Forbes Hospital
Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: This role works in a fast-paced environment that receives prehospital reports from EMS agencies coming into AHN hospitals and other hospital facilities within the area. This position also works closely with hospital staff in a professional and efficient manner. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives Prehospital reports from EMS providers on ground or air ambulances. Relays reports to multiple receiving facilities. (20%) Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within AHN facilities. (15%) Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center. (25%) Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated. (15%) Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility. (25%) Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum PA EMT or Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT or Paramedic level CPR or obtain within 6 months of hire.
