Job Summary The Elite Job is seeking passionate and community-minded individuals for the position of Community Worker under the Canada Summer Jobs initiative. Key Responsibilities

Assist in organizing and delivering community outreach activities and programs.

Support the planning and execution of local events, workshops, and campaigns.

Engage with community members to assess needs and provide support services or referrals.

  • *

Collect, document, and report data and feedback on program effectiveness.

  • *

Collaborate with team members to promote awareness of available services and initiatives.

  • *

Develop promotional materials and content for social media or newsletters.

  • *

Represent The Elite Job in a professional and inclusive manner during community interactions.

  • *

Provide administrative support where required, including filing, data entry, and communications.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • *

Must meet eligibility criteria for the Canada Summer Jobs program (ages 15–30, legally entitled to work in Canada).

  • *

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Social Work, Community Development, Sociology, or a related field.

  • *

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • *

Interest in working with diverse populations, including youth, seniors, and underrepresented communities.

  • *

A proactive and empathetic attitude towards community support and social causes.

  • *

Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic social media platforms.

  • Experience

Prior experience in a volunteer or community service role is an asset, but not required.

Training will be provided, and enthusiasm to learn is key.

  • Working Hours
  • *

Duration: 8 to 12 weeks during the summer months (flexible start and end dates).

  • *

Schedule: Full-time (35 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

  • *

Some evening or weekend availability may be requested based on community event schedules.

Knowledge of community resources, local services, or public outreach strategies.

Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in diverse environments.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Basic graphic design or content creation skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is a plus.
