Job Summary

As a Data Entry Clerk – Alternate Investments Specialist, you will be responsible for processing trade deal purchases in customer profiles, identifying and addressing breaks between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents. This role also involves processing Corporate Activity Activities, settling/reconciling transactions, and processing/reconciling returns activity. You will work closely with Retail and Institutional Service Teams, using email, phone, Slack, Overview, and Salesforce to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

* Process trade deal purchases in customer profiles and identify/address breaks between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents

  • Process Corporate Activity Activities, settle/reconcile transactions, and process/reconcile returns activity
  • Analyze complex/escalated issues and perform testing/validation of new innovation enhancements and provider modifications
  • Complete projects in Trading, Dividends, Transfers, Reconciliation, and Corporate Actions that directly impact the Client/Advisor profile
  • Engage with Retail and Institutional Service Teams using email, phone, Slack, Overview, and Salesforce
  • Collaborate with fund companies, transfer agents, opposite agencies, and other external business partners to ensure seamless execution of daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer tasks

Duties Analysis

* Review subscription deals or transfer requests

  • Identify and address Client/Advisor account exceptions
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
  • Reconcile Business, Dividend, and Transactions Breaks
  • Resolve issues across BOS and Fund Companies
  • Review and analyze correct tax coding and corrections of income tax coding
  • Troubleshoot internal/external system improvements or concerns
  • Identify root cause of breaks between TDA, the Fund, etc.
  • Provide method or innovation service alternatives to Management
  • Remediate transfer issues with the Fund or Opposite Firm
  • Provide follow-up on Substitute Expenditure moves to expedite the customer demand or remediate not neat issues
  • Promptly and accurately finalize client investing and dividend demands

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry, customer service, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in Alternate Investments

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
  • Experience with data entry software and systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
