Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Scheduling appointments and following up with members who have requested information
  • Working one-on-one with clients to ensure they understand their benefits and what's available to them
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and support
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to provide the highest level of service to our clients

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A career-oriented mentality with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Previous customer service and sales experience (a plus, but not required)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A personable and approachable demeanor, with the ability to interact with customers daily
  • A desire to participate in professional development and take on new responsibilities
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Customer service or customer relationship experience (a plus, but not required)

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., business, communications) a plus

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a benefits or insurance-related field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Familiarity with benefits administration software and systems
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative)
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (a plus, but not required)
