Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Telehealth Customer Service Agent to work from home, with the ability to go into the clinic as needed. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in telehealth systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a virtual environment. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for:

  • Insurance verification and explanation of benefits to patients
  • Responding to incoming calls from customers and quoting estimated wait times
  • Accessing and reading notes and referral orders in our electronic health record system
  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems
  • Communicating and coordinating with internal departments
  • Making outbound calls to patients as needed and following up with customer care questions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year of experience in a medical office setting
  • 1+ years of experience in a Customer Service or help desk capacity
  • Experience using an electronic health record system, such as Experity
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to handle complaints and unpleasant patients in a professional manner
