Job Summary

As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our online community by enforcing community guidelines, managing conflicts, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a part-time, remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions are respectful, safe, and compliant with community guidelines

  • Delete messages that violate community rules, including but not limited to:

+ Hate speech or discriminatory language + Spam or self-promotional content + Inflammatory or provocative comments

  • Ban users who repeatedly violate community rules, following a fair and transparent process
  • Mute users who have violated community rules, providing clear explanations and warnings
  • Investigate reports made by users about potential rule violations, working closely with the community management team to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with the community management team to develop and implement community guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to user inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay up-to-date with community trends, best practices, and industry developments to ensure the continued growth and success of our online community

Essential Qualifications

* 18 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Familiarity with Discord and other online community platforms
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience as a moderator or community manager in a online community or social media platform

  • Knowledge of community management principles, practices, and best practices
  • Familiarity with online safety and security protocols
  • Experience with conflict resolution and mediation techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
