You'll work closely with our customers to resolve technical issues, provide product recommendations, and ensure that they're fully satisfied with our services. Key Responsibilities
As a part-time Customer Support Representative on our weekend overnight shift, your key responsibilities will include:
- Configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless network issues for customers over the phone
- Recognizing and understanding how to configure customers' equipment to connect to the Internet via a wireless router, which may include connecting standard consumer electronic devices such as streaming devices, computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and more
- Providing a high level of customer service, educating customers on the use of products and services, and recommending products and services to meet customer needs
- Conducting follow-up calls to customers with recent completed service requests or calls
- Replying to customer email inquiries
- Working with customers to sign up for new service and resolve basic billing issues
- Troubleshooting advanced networking protocols within the company network
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Previous networking or telephone customer service/support experience (either in a paid or volunteer capacity)
- A basic understanding of computer hardware and software and consumer wireless routers
- High ethical standards, strong work ethic with an emphasis on team commitment, respect for others, the ability to acknowledge and build on others' ideas, and support for group decisions
- The ability to solve problems with patience and a positive approach
- Self-motivation, attention to detail, and organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
