Job Summary
In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, ensuring seamless prescription processing, and maintaining accurate records. You will work in a fast-paced, high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while upholding excellent customer service standards. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation, problem-solving abilities, strong written and oral communication, and strong computer skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
- Make outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
- Work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate records and ensure seamless prescription processing
- Collaborate with the Specialty Mail Order team to deliver exceptional patient care and support
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
Essential Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
- Verifiable High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Call center experience
- Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues
