Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls to provide information and assistance regarding health care insurance options
  • Update customer and account information as needed, and maintain accurate records
  • Utilize multiple database applications as resources to provide the best possible solutions to customers
  • Respond to general customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Strive to meet performance metrics for continued professional growth opportunities
  • Be open to feedback and coaching for continuous improvement and growth

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college attendance or degree is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of call center experience, preferably in a healthcare-related customer service environment
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience, with knowledge of health insurance coverage and terminology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact well with customers and coworkers
  • Computer proficiency, with the ability to learn and navigate multiple database applications
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and available for occasional overtime as needed
  • Must be able to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a remote call center environment
  • Knowledge of health insurance policy and terminology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Experience working with multiple computer applications and software systems
