About the Role
arenaflex is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused CPC Processor I Customer Support to ensure the accurate and timely handling of release of information account issues with internal and external customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This is a full-time, remote role (call center) that operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm PST. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-volume production environment and possess excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and conduct business on the telephone while maintaining excellent customer service, including answering release of information related telephone calls and inquiries accurately and timely.
- Process medical record requests by taking calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys to provide medical record status.
- Document information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors.
- Review, research, resolve, and respond to inquiries received via telephone, email, or written correspondence.
- Document all calls, inquiries, and resolutions in detail in appropriate areas of software systems.
- Follow all department and/or site-specific processes and procedures accordingly.
- Maintain confidentiality by keeping all information seen and heard within the boundaries of the role in the strictest confidence.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and good rapport with co-workers and members of management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institute recognized by the State Department of Education.
- A friendly, professional manner of communication and good customer service skills.
- Experience with a multi-line phone system and computer proficiency, including knowledge of MS-Office at an intermediate/advanced level.
- Experience in data entry, medical records, healthcare, insurance claims processing, and proofreading/editing of documents is beneficial.
- The ability to stay organized while working quickly and strong attention to detail.
- To pass an annual Introductory HIPAA examination and a 90-day ROI Certification course with a score of 85% or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Previous experience in a call center or customer support environment.
