Experienced Customer Service Lead – Part-Time Retail Store Management

Overview

As a Part-Time Customer Service Lead at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for leading day-to-day customer service initiatives, motivating and encouraging associates to provide exceptional customer service, and ensuring a customer-first focus is always top of mind. You'll work closely with our Assistant Store Manager and Customer Service Supervisor to drive improvement in friendliness, speed of checkout, and customer feedback surveys. Your role will be to create a positive shopping experience for our customers, proactively solving problems professionally and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by Example: Model arenaflex's company core values, philosophy, and back-of-house standards, inspiring our associates to do the same.

  • Drive Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a customer-first focus, delivering a consistently great experience to all our customers with a high level of professionalism.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Store: Troubleshoot issues with registers and transactions, ensuring a neat and orderly front-end area.
  • Coordinate Schedules and Breaks: Coordinate meal and break periods, monitor schedule adherence, and ensure seamless store operations.
  • Proactively Solve Problems: Interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience, proactively solving problems professionally and efficiently.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. You'll also need to be physically able to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more, as well as stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Essential Qualifications

Leadership Experience: Proven leadership skills, with experience in a customer-facing role or retail environment.

  • Customer Service Focus: Strong customer service skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with associates, customers, and management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

Retail Experience: Experience working in a retail environment, with knowledge of retail operations and customer service best practices.

  • Leadership Training: Training or experience in leadership development, with a focus on customer service and team management.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
