Job Summary

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer tasks for Alternate Investments. The key deliverables of this role include processing trade deal purchases in customer profiles, identifying and addressing breaks recognized between arenaflex and fund companies or transfer agents, and processing Corporate Activity Activities, settling/reconciling transactions, and processing/reconciling returns activity. The specialist may also be trusted to perform analysis of complex/escalated issues, conduct testing/validation of new technology enhancements, and provider changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process trade deal purchases in customer profiles and identify/address breaks recognized between arenaflex and fund companies or transfer agents
  • Process Corporate Activity Activities, settle/reconcile transactions, and process/reconcile returns activity
  • Perform analysis of complex/escalated issues and conduct testing/validation of new technology enhancements and provider changes
  • Review and analyze client/advisor amount exceptions, regulatory commitments, and reconciliation of Business, Dividend, and Transactions Breaks
  • Reconcile across BOS and Fund Companies, and review and analyze correct tax coding and corrections of tax coding
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support for internal/external system improvements or issues, and root cause of breaks between arenaflex, the Fund, etc.
  • Offer method or technology solution alternatives to Management, and remediate transfer issues with the Fund or Opposite Firm Client or Business Partner
  • Respond to business partner inquiries regarding Fund information requirements/eligibility, and provide follow-up on Substitute Investment moves to expedite the client request or remediate not neat issues
  • Promptly and correctly complete client investing and dividend requests

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training and support to help you develop your skills and knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of financial concepts and terminology, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new software and systems

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in data entry, finance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of regulatory commitments, such as 2340 and 15C3-3
  • Experience with reconciliation, trade, and transfer tasks
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Slack, and other software applications
