Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties assigned by the Data Entry Manager, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Answer phones and respond to orders, re-orders, and general customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Handle and resolve client complaints and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Triage incoming faxes by facility/department and in accordance with cutoff times, ensuring seamless communication and minimizing delays.
  • Clarify orders as needed, utilizing your knowledge of brand name and generic medications to ensure accuracy and precision.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Active NJ Board of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Previous experience in pharmacy, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and customer service principles.
  • LTC pharmacy experience preferred, with knowledge of long-term care pharmacy practices and regulations.
  • Knowledge of brand name and generic medications, including their uses, interactions, and potential side effects.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills required, with experience in data entry, order management, and customer relationship management software.
  • Great telephone etiquette a must, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Frameworks / ECM knowledge a plus, with experience in electronic health records and pharmacy management systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a strong foundation in mathematics, science, and language arts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a remote or virtual work environment, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT), with a strong commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software, including order entry, inventory management, and reporting.
