Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced data engineer to join our Data Engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines that support our Media business. As a data engineer, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design and implement data pipelines, and ensure the smooth operation of our data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and design data pipelines that meet business needs
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, data set designs, and data visualization tools
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through data validation, data profiling, and data governance
- Work with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to streamline data processing and delivery
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code and data delivery
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong understanding of Python and SQL, with experience using Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience working with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
- Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures
- Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and data governance
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Experience with data science tools, such as Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, or similar
