Job Summary

In this part-time remote position, you will play a critical role in handling a high volume of charge and payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and meeting production standards. As a Data Entry Assistant, you will be responsible for transcribing data from source documents and entering it into our computer system, reviewing and accepting charge sessions, and assisting with other clerical assignments. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of charge and payment transactions while maintaining accuracy and meeting production standards.
  • Transcribe data from source documents, including charge tickets, insurance explanation of benefits, and personal payments, and enter it into our computer system.
  • Review and accept charge sessions from assigned charge work queues with a high level of accuracy, analyzing charges to determine when required information is not provided or there is a discrepancy in the information given.
  • Refer discrepancies to appropriate individuals for follow-up and provide documentation to support staff as needed.
  • Assist in other clerical assignments, such as scanning, filing, mail processing/delivery, and patient registration.
  • Input payments and adjustments, reviewing insurance explanation of benefits to ensure that appropriate payments and adjustments are applied according to contractual requirements.
  • Provide exceptional support to the team, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality service delivery.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of data entry experience or a combination of related education and experience preferred.
  • Strong typing skills, with high accuracy and speed.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze charges and identify discrepancies.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
