Responsibilities
As a Remote Data Entry Clerk / Typing Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using your keyboard and computer skills
- Typing in data provided directly from customers with accuracy and attention to detail
- Filling in spreadsheets with potentially large numbers of figures without mistakes
- Verifying data by comparing it to source documents to ensure accuracy
- Updating existing data in a timely and efficient manner
- Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested by clients
- Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data confidentiality principles at all times
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk (although not required, it is preferred)
- Fast typing skills with the ability to maintain accuracy and speed
- A level of comfort with word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Good command of English both oral and written, as well as customer service skills
- Great attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
