Experienced Crisis Specialist – Remote 24/7 Mental Health Support

We're seeking an experienced Crisis Specialist to join our dynamic team, working remotely on a 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. As a Crisis Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals experiencing emotional distress, providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988.

Job Summary:

* Work remotely on a 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team

• Handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988
• Provide brief clinical screenings and risk assessments for individuals experiencing emotional distress
• Identify and provide appropriate service linkage for individuals in need
• Conduct follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide
• Meet the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation
• Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings
• Assist in administrative tasks as needed

Responsibilities:

* Provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments

• Answer crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources
• Conduct follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide
• Meet the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation
• Actively participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings
• Assist in administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field

• Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
• Six months to one year of related crisis experience preferred
• Knowledge of suicide assessments and crisis intervention
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• High-level customer service skills and professional etiquette
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

* Sitting: 90%

• Standing: 10%
• Squatting, kneeling, bending, and lifting: occasional

* Remote work environment
