Billing Representative / PBS - Support Services / Full-time / Days

The Billing Representative will be responsible for collecting and submitting billing data, resolving routine problems, and ensuring patient accounts are accurately billed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Collect and submit billing data
- Enter data into the computer database
- Locate and resolve routine problems
- Track claim and billing activity
- Ensure that patient accounts are accurately reviewed and prepared for timely billing
- Verify documentation and confirm payer information
- Address potential claim denials
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless billing processes
Skills
- 1+ year general clerical experience in performing billing related functions, preferably in a health care facility environment or a physician's office
- High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address potential billing issues
- 1 year of hospital billing experience
- Knowledge of payer policies and claim submission processes
