Recruiter
Vermeer Midwest is a family-owned equipment dealership that values strong work ethics and a team-first culture. They are seeking a motivated and people-focused Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruiting efforts for various positions, partnering closely with hiring managers to meet workforce needs and ensure a positive candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer support, and post-offer employment checks
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, qualifications, and hiring timelines
- Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels
- Create and post compelling job advertisements that reflect role requirements and the employer brand
- Screen resumes and conducts phone or virtual interviews
- Coordinate and facilitate interviews with hiring teams
- Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience
- Provide ongoing communication and updates for hiring managers throughout the recruiting process
- Research, develop, and implement pre-hire assessments as needed
- Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATD) to manage candidates and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with employment laws and company policies

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Ability to shift priorities and stay organized in a dynamic environment
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Collaborative, adaptable mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based recruiting tools
- 0-3 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred
- Experience recruiting in a mechanical or technical environment is a plus
- Experience using an applicant tracking system preferred
