As a remote Medical Data Entry Clerk, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with our Accounts Receivable Manager and other stakeholders to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with weekly and monthly billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, and Private payors for SNF, Adult care, Assisted Living, and Outpatient Therapy. Ensure services are coded correctly prior to billing various payors, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Coordinate billing invoices with ancillary vendors, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payments. Post NAMI on a monthly basis for Allowances, and prepare a weekly denial report for distribution to the AR Manager. Verify patient insurance information, ensuring all patient data is entered correctly into our billing system. Verify accuracy of daily and monthly census, maintaining up-to-date records and reports. Prepare and perform deposits, keeping required records and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. Provide backup support for resident banking in the absence of the Accounts Payable and Resident Accounts Coordinator. Post payments into Point Click Care, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer literacy with various billing and intake software, as well as Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook). Accurate and efficient data entry skills, with a strong attention to detail. Training and education in healthcare billing and coding, with a solid understanding of industry regulations and standards. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in healthcare administration or a related field. Familiarity with senior care facilities or post-acute care settings. Knowledge of Point Click Care or similar billing systems. Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CMC).
