About the Role:
As a Distributed Systems Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance systems that enable our microservices to efficiently store, consume, and manage their data. You will work closely with our data engineering team to build and maintain our data platform, including our database access stage, data stage foundation, big data figure, and big data arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance systems that enable our microservices to efficiently store, consume, and manage their data
- Collaborate with our data engineering team to build and maintain our data platform, including our database access stage, data stage foundation, big data figure, and big data arrangement
- Work with our engineering teams to design and implement data pipelines and workflows that meet business requirements
- Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code that meets arenaflex's coding standards
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
- Collaborate with our product management team to identify and prioritize features and requirements
- Work with our technical program management team to plan and execute projects and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our data platform and systems
Essential Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data engineering, and cloud computing
- Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Knowledge of database systems, including relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with data pipelines and workflows, including ETL and data warehousing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS and GCP
- Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and monitoring
- Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools, including Tableau and Power BI
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance, including GDPR and HIPAA
