Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Moderation Specialist

Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced and empathetic Chat Moderator to join our remote team at arenaflex. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere on our official Discord server. You'll work closely with our community members, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and enforcing our community guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and adhere to our community guidelines.
- Delete messages that violate our community rules, including but not limited to:
+ Hate speech or discriminatory language + Harassment or bullying + Spam or self-promotion + Inappropriate content or links
- Ban users who repeatedly violate our community rules, after a thorough investigation and warning process.
- Mute users who have violated our community rules, to prevent further disruptions.
- Investigate reports made by users about potential rule violations, and take appropriate action.
- Collaborate with our community team to develop and implement community guidelines and policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to our community members, responding to their concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and policies, and adapt to changing community needs.
Essential Qualifications:
* 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Familiarity with Discord and online community management tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience as a moderator or community manager in a online community
- Knowledge of community guidelines and policies development
- Familiarity with online safety and security best practices
- Experience with conflict resolution and mediation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing community needs
