Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and identifying issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate accordingly (10%)
  • Ensuring all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
  • Performing payment transactions and requesting payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
  • Assisting with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
  • Requiring close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • 1 year of call center or phone experience
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
