As a key member of our Data Knowledge and Systems Information Designing team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the distributed systems and cloud applications that power our business.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and highly available data systems that support our business operations. You will work closely with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to develop low-latency data products that drive business insights and inform our product development.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop distributed data systems that can handle high-scale and high-throughput requests

  • Build and maintain cloud-based applications that utilize big data processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink
  • Develop and implement data pipelines that can handle large volumes of data and provide real-time insights
  • Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to develop data products that meet business requirements
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of data systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain APIs and services that provide data access to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that code is maintainable, efficient, and follows best practices
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and applications
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for data systems and applications

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related field
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, or C++
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with data storage systems such as HDFS, Cassandra, or MongoDB
  • Experience with data processing systems such as Apache Flink, Apache Storm, or Apache Beam
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related field
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
  • Experience with natural language processing frameworks such as NLTK, spaCy, or Stanford CoreNLP
  • Experience with computer vision frameworks such as OpenCV or Pillow
  • Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS

Skills and Competencies

* Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices

  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud-based applications
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks and data storage systems
  • Experience with data visualization tools and DevOps tools

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
