Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agency Sales Manager to join our corporate travel management team. As a key authority for corporate travel management services, you will utilize your expertise to drive revenue growth, develop strategic business relationships, and negotiate contracts with travel management companies (TMCs). Your goal will be to maximize market share and yield in individual markets, while ensuring compliance with company objectives and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a knowledgeable authority for TMC business, providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Develop and maintain key business relationships with TMC accounts, focusing on business travel value propositions for arenaflex.
  • Exercise extensive judgment to manage pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements, aiming to achieve the highest market share and yield possible.
  • Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to develop contract-compliant agreements.
  • Analyze revenue, margins, and contract performance to ensure objective compliance and profitability.
  • Build and maintain key business relationships with TMC accounts, focusing on business travel value propositions for arenaflex.
  • Develop marketing-related promotions to support sales efforts, working closely with marketing and business development teams.
  • Manage the setup of TMC agency accounts through sales calls, negotiating agreements, and coordinating with pricing teams.
  • Plan business growth and lead development of other agency accounts, collaborating with revenue management teams to ensure exceptional entries are filed accordingly and drive expected revenue per agreement specifications.
  • Monitor reporting and metrics to identify trends and develop a strategy to ensure the company is positioned appropriately in the market.
  • Monitor revenue, commissions, and contract performance to ensure maximum revenues and sales objectives are achieved.
  • Effectively manage and negotiate time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for arenaflex.
  • Prepare and execute local sales plans in accordance with corporate sales targets, ensuring arenaflex is strategically positioned among its competitors and leveraging its market position.

Essential Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus in the retail service environment or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree, or two additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior airline experience.
  • Prior exposure to and use of travel industry data reporting sources like Curve and Crystal.
  • Proficiency with CRM tool Salesforce.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive results to the greatest advantage of the company.
  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with different teams and workgroups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to conflicts caused by competing needs.
