Accountant - Hybrid
Outward Hound is a company seeking an Accountant to support their Finance team with various accounting functions. The role involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the monthly close process while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
Responsibilities
- Systematically process all inbound receipts at 3PL warehouses
- Process factory invoices ensuring 3-way-match accuracy is adhered to
- Process all necessary documents for factory to customer sales related to the DI business
- Prepare account analysis and bank reconciliations, as applicable
- Record monthly employee expenses to GL
- Compile and submit international VAT tax filings
- Monitor Fixed Assets GL activity and update analysis, as needed
- Support month-end close process
- Assist with audits, as needed
- Provide back-up coverage for other accounting roles, as needed
Skills
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting; high school diploma with relevant experience will be considered
- Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years in an Accounting or Finance related role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging across all levels of an organization
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- Experience with accounting software (Sage100 or equivalent system a plus)
