Job Description

As an Architect at HireVue, you will report directly to our CTO and be responsible for leading the architecture direction of the platform. You will be empowered to drive continuous improvement and constantly evaluate the return on investment on our technical decisions. We’re looking for a dynamic individual who brings a fresh perspective, innovative ideas, and creative thinking to offer new insights and approaches to our team. Our ability to deliver quality software to our customers in a timely, predictable manner will be directly attributable to your capacity to identify and address challenges faced by the initiatives you will be leading. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning and Design
• Architectural Design: Develop high-level architectural designs and technical specifications for cloud-native applications and systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Technology Evaluation: Conduct research on emerging cloud-native technologies and recommend solutions that enhance system performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• System Integration: Design and oversee the integration of various products, platforms, and services, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow.
• Development and Implementation
• Software Development: Collaborate with software engineers to define requirements and create detailed design documents and user interfaces for cloud-native applications.
• Cloud Native Approaches: Plan, configure, and manage cloud resources, using platforms such as AWS or Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Automation and CI/CD: Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, enhancing development efficiency and reducing time-to-market.
• Observability and Resiliency
• System Monitoring: Set up and leverage observability practices and tools to track system performance, detect anomalies, and ensure the reliability of cloud-native applications.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing guidance and support to development teams and end-users as needed.
• Scalability and Performance: Optimize system performance and scalability through load balancing, auto-scaling, and other cloud-native practices.
• Lead the architecture direction of HireVue platform ensuring that we’re utilizing the best development techniques, architectural patterns, frameworks, and libraries for those initiatives.
• Own and ensure the resolution of complex problems found in our systems and integrations.
• Find opportunities to broadcast knowledge and lessons learned across delivery teams.
• Delegate to teammates and work with them to ensure they're successful.
• Identify technical debt buydown opportunities and work with the engineering leadership team and the product management team to prioritize these activities.
• Ensure quality patterns are in place to provide thorough automated testing with tests at each level of the test pyramid.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 8+ years’ experience architecting SaaS solutions, 12+ years preferred. Experience working effectively in a global virtual environment. Master’s degree is a plus. Industry certifications, such as:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
